Abstract
Digital Forensics and Cybercrime Investigation have become essential components of modern cybersecurity and law enforcement due to the rapid growth of digital technologies and internet-based activities. The increasing use of computers, smartphones, cloud computing, online banking, social media, and digital communication systems has led to a significant rise in cybercrimes such as hacking, identity theft, data breaches, financial fraud, cyber terrorism, and online harassment. Digital forensics involves the identification, collection, preservation, analysis, and presentation of digital evidence to investigate cybercrimes and support legal proceedings. Digital forensic techniques are used to recover and analyze data from computers, mobile devices, networks, servers, and storage media. Investigators examine digital evidence such as emails, deleted files, browsing history, call records, and network logs to identify cybercriminal activities and trace offenders. Advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cloud forensics, and network forensics have improved the efficiency and accuracy of cybercrime investigations.
