Abstract
Telemedicine has emerged as one of the most significant technological advancements in modern healthcare systems, transforming the way medical services are delivered and accessed. It refers to the use of digital communication technologies such as video consultations, mobile applications, electronic health records, and online healthcare platforms to provide medical care remotely. Telemedicine has become increasingly important due to rapid technological development, growing healthcare demands, shortage of healthcare professionals, and the need for accessible healthcare services in rural and remote areas. The COVID-19 pandemic further accelerated the adoption of telemedicine by highlighting the importance of remote healthcare services during emergency situations. telemedicine and its role in shaping the future of healthcare services. how telemedicine improves healthcare accessibility, reduces travel time and healthcare costs, enhances patient monitoring, and supports early diagnosis and treatment. The benefits of telemedicine in managing chronic diseases, mental health counseling, emergency consultations, and healthcare delivery in underserved communities. In addition, it explores the role of artificial intelligence, digital health technologies, and electronic medical systems in strengthening telemedicine services and improving healthcare efficiency.
