Green Computing and Sustainable Technology Solutions
Main Article Content
Abstract
Green Computing refers to the environmentally responsible and energy-efficient use of computers, digital devices, and information technology systems. With the rapid growth of technology and increasing dependence on electronic devices, concerns regarding energy consumption, electronic waste, carbon emissions, and environmental pollution have become significant global issues. Green computing aims to reduce the negative environmental impact of technology by promoting sustainable practices in the design, manufacturing, usage, and disposal of computing systems. Sustainable technology solutions focus on minimizing energy consumption, improving resource efficiency, and encouraging the use of renewable energy sources in information technology infrastructure. Green computing practices include energy-efficient hardware, virtualization, cloud computing, recycling of electronic waste, eco-friendly data centers, and power management systems. These technologies help organizations reduce operational costs, lower carbon footprints, and support environmental sustainability.
