Abstract

Sustainable development seeks to balance economic growth, social equity, and environmental protection to ensure that present needs are met without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Environmental conservation plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance, preserving biodiversity, and supporting the long-term sustainability of human societies. However, achieving sustainable development faces numerous challenges, including rapid industrialization, urbanization, population growth, unsustainable consumption patterns, and inadequate environmental governance. significant opportunities exist through the adoption of renewable energy technologies, sustainable agricultural practices, green infrastructure, circular economy models, and international environmental cooperation. Technological innovation, environmental education, and effective policy frameworks can further contribute to sustainable resource management and ecological preservation. the relationship between sustainable development and environmental conservation, the major challenges confronting global sustainability efforts, and explores emerging opportunities for promoting a more environmentally responsible and economically viable future.
