Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive historical analysis of China’s transformation in the 20th century, focusing on the revolutionary movements that led to the rise of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. The study traces the evolution of political thought and revolutionary ideology from the late Qing Dynasty through the May Fourth Movement, the rise of the CCP under Mao Zedong, and the eventual victory in the Chinese Civil War. It explores key events such as the Long March, the Second Sino-Japanese War, and the founding of the PRC, analyzing the social, economic, and political factors that enabled these movements to succeed. The paper also assesses the internal and external challenges faced by the Chinese revolutionary forces and the role of international relations in shaping the trajectory of China’s revolution. Using a combination of archival materials and primary sources, the article offers insights into how China’s political landscape was reshaped during this period and how its revolutionary past continues to influence contemporary Chinese society and politics.
