The Dynamics of Mental Lexical Representations in Dyslexic Children
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study explores the cognitive dimensions of language processing within the framework of Cognitive Linguistics. Specifically, it investigates how functional deficits in the language-related nervous system and the lack of phonological awareness affect lexical organization in dyslexicchildren. Titled "The Dynamics of Mental Representations of the Lexicon in Dyslexic Children," the research aims to examine the core issues surrounding the structure, alignment, and retrieval of the mental lexicon, thereby identifying and pin-pointing the primary cognitive and linguisticdifficulties these childrenencounter. Employing a descriptive-analytical methodologytailored to the nature of the study, the research analyzes lexical representation patterns to reveal how neural-functional impairments affect language recall, providing valuabletheoretical and practical insights for targetedlinguistic interventions.
